The Center for Ethics and Values foster thoughtful,
informed, and nuanced exploration of pressing ethical issues in areas
such as health care, science, engineering, technology, law, politics,
economics, business, media, education, arts, and public life. The Center
aims to provide a locus for interdisciplinary engagement among
researchers, students, and the broader public, while recognizing the
value of formal training in ethics to better understand and address the
significant and complex ethical issues facing us today. The Center for
Ethics and Values serves as a hub for a variety of activities that bring
the expertise of philosophy to bear on ethical issues of importance to
researchers and students across the university, as well as to the
