The Homecoming planning team is in great need of folks to staff the Homecoming Welcome Tents stationed around the loop on Saturday, Oct 13, between 12:30 and 5 p.m., in 90-minute blocks.
Volunteers will welcome guests to campus and provide information as needed. You'll receive materials, so don't think you have to know everything about Homecoming or UMBC to sign up!

An invitation from the PSS: Listening session on Sept. 20
Learn from students and/or share your story
Dear UMBC professional staff,
We all received an email from President Hrabowski on Monday
inviting members of the UMBC community to an open listening session to discuss the recent events regarding sexual assault and
misconduct. The PSS supports the university’s effort to create a space for
dialogue so that the university community can begin to heal and move forward
together.
The listening session is scheduled for Thursday,
September 20, 3:30 – 5:30 p.m. in the Fine Arts Recital Hall. It is co-organized
by a number of campus groups and is open to all. If you would like to learn more about
student perspectives on this issue, or share your own story, you are welcome to
attend.
If you cannot attend, and would like to
contribute to the conversation, feel free to use the form
shared in President Hrabowski’s email to share a story or leave a comment or
question.
We all react to challenging news differently. Any staff member who may need support can request counseling through

Food includes BBQ chicken, hamburgers, hot dogs, and veggie burgers with assorted rolls and condiments as well as accompanying sides of vegetarian baked beans, cole slaw, potato salad, Mediterranean pasta salad, and corn on the cob. Dessert includes assorted fruit and cookies.

This popular program offers opportunities for professional staff across campus to connect with one another- sharing knowledge, skills, expertise, resources, and experiences. The upcoming program cycle will kick off on July 1 and run for one academic year.
All applications must be received by Monday, April 30.
