Purpose Generation has teamed up with Millennial Week and lead sponsor Wells Fargo this year to launch a competition called Students for Social Change. Students in attendance will be working through a design-thinking exercise for several hours to prototype innovative business models that combat food waste and food scarcity in underserved communities, and will pitch their solution to a panel of expert judges at the end of the activity. Each member of the winning team will receive an internship offer at a local social enterprise.
This is a great opportunity for undergraduate students in the DC metropolitan area to engage with peers, entrepreneurs, and thought leaders in the social impact space, and get inspired around the potential-of human-centered design to solve global challenges.
The event will take place on Sunday, October 9, 2016 from 11am to 3:30 pm in Crystal City, VA and they are accepting applications now through September 29, 2016. Students can apply to attend at www.studentsforsocialchange.com.
