About Us
Baltimore City Community College Refugee Youth Project (BCCC RYP) provides after-school and summer programs to refugee students grades K-12. They receive tutoring, mentoring, English classes, STEM education, special workshops, and art courses. Each year, RYP serves over 300 students with the assistance of nearly 300 volunteers.
ArtWorks is a social enterprise founded by RYP in December 2012. Students create African necklaces, prayer flags, scented candles, and similar culturally relevant products. This year, ArtWorks is expanding from festival sales to multiple consignment agreements, gallery showings, and an online store.

Brief Description:We are looking for someone awesome to join our team of super stars! We at BCCC RYP ArtWorks needs someone to assist the ArtWorks Program Coordinator in preparing for and assisting in the sales of our youth’s products.
We Need You If… you love working with youth, especially ESOL students. You should also be passionate about using your business savvy skills to make a difference! By passionate, we mean: excited about the mission of BCCC RYP ArtWorks and committed to making this position a priority.
Why YOU and ArtWorks matter: Our students create the products as volunteers; however, as ArtWorks grows (and it’s growing fast!), it will become an important training program for refugee youth.
