It has been a wonderful year of marketing and interacting with UMBC's amazing entrepreneur community. Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end and I must transition into life as a college graduate, which means I must hand over the marketing reins to someone else. Will it be you?!
Marketing Intern Responsibilities
- Update/enhance Alex. Brown Center website on a regular basis
- Ensure all social media tools, including the Center’s Twitter feed, LinkedIn group, Facebook page, myUMBC Group and ENTR Minor Group page is consistently up to date by providing relevant information on applied learning opportunities, events and professional development opportunities
- Content contains information about upcoming events, competitions, or other opportunities.
- Usually 2-3 posts a week
- Set up/post a calendar of events for entreSpace on myUMBC
- Post top events for UMBC representatives (student, faculty and company entrepreneurs) to attend or present
- Provide students interested in starting businesses with relevant tools and documentation on how to get started
- Attend Center sponsored events for documentation purposes
- Encourage others to get involved in the online conversations
- Compose and post recaps of certain Workshops and Speaker Series
Relevant Skills/Characteristics
- Excellent writing/communication skills
- Knowledgeable and skilled in use of social media techniques/methods
- Responsive and responsible
- Able to connect and network with both student and professional entrepreneurs
This internship will require around 5-10 hours per week, online and at workshops held throughout the semester. Pay is $12 per hour.
