Come listen to Shayla Adams talk about how she started RemixEducation to empower millennials to seek out problems in their communities and take action.

Event Description:
She will discuss how she scaled their flagship mentoring program to 3 states and how Remixeducation has been able to expand their services to reach the unique needs of urban students and communities. She will also discuss how RemixEducation uses the design thinking process within the organization to innovate and improve programming.
About Shayla:
Shayla is committed to ensuring that all children regardless of race or background have access to a quality education. This year she was granted the CityBridge Education Innovation Fellowship in which she is conducting a Blended Learning Pilot in an attempt to redesign the 9th grade ELA experience at her school. Additionally, she recently published her first book, Making College Happen, which is a how to guide for first -generation college students attempting to navigate the college application process.
