Fall 2021 Expansion
Are you interested in joining the executive board?
Students,
Entrepreneurs at UMBC is growing at a tremendous pace and is in the process of expanding the executive board.
We are looking for three motivated individuals for the following roles:
(2x) Director of Media:
* Engage and facilitate discussion in our Discord server
* Increase membership on Discord
* Spread the word in general
The Director of Media is a social media specialist and uses Discord frequently. Can engage with students, facilitate discussion and keep the fun going.
(1x) Director of Logistics/Operations:
* Manage event coordination and planning
* Plan/propose agenda and events for the semester
* Coordinate with Vice President to execute events successfully
The Director of Logistics/Operations is a strategist that has a history of executing plans successfully. Has lots of ideas about potential activities and can coordinate with the Vice President to host/plan weekly events.
We will reach out to potential candidates in the following two weeks to schedule a time to virtually meet with the current executive board.
We hope that everyone is staying safe and keeping others safe.

Enroll in ENTR 320: Entrepreneurial Marketing Online
ENTR 320: Entrepreneurial Marketing is being offered online this Fall, Thursday evenings from 4:30pm-7pm. Don't miss this chance to enroll in the course before seats fill up. This is an exciting opportunity to immerse yourself into a
well-rounded entrepreneurial experience as we prepare to head back to
campus this Fall.
ENTR 320 arms student entrepreneurs with an overview and
understanding of the new media and marketing landscape. New media have
fundamentally changed the way that all businesses approach marketing.
Students in this course can expect to develop a high level understanding
of the planning and execution of messaging and engagement within new
marketing media. This course will include a combination of both
individual and team based projects, (such as blogs, podcasts, and E-mail
newsletters).
Only this semester, students that have taken either ENTR 200 or ENTR 201 as a prereq can enroll in this course.
The executive board hopes to see many familiar faces in this online course.

Attention all aspiring entrepreneurs!
Do you have an idea for a company or social impact venture? Are you ready to try out something new, take risks, and be your own boss? If you answered yes, then the Cangialosi Business Innovation Competition (CBIC) is the perfect opportunity to do so! CBIC is a competition exclusively for UMBC students that awards up to $5,000 in cash prizes in BOTH the Technology and Innovation track AND the Social Impact track.
What is the CBIC?
The Cangialosi Business Innovation Competition (CBIC) is a unique opportunity for UMBC graduate and undergraduate students who are serious about starting a business or social impact venture. Participants will experience the process of planning a startup business by submitting a competitive and realistic 3-5 page business plan, which will be judged by members of the Baltimore Angels (real investors!). Qualifiers will present their ideas in a final competition, where cash prizes will be given out.
Prizes:
First Prize= $3,000
Second Prize = $2,000
Third Prize = $1,000
