 Deputy Chief (Administration) Position Available

North East Mobile Health Services, with six bases in southern and midcoast Maine, has created this position to serve as the chief performance officer with special focus on operational, financial and clinical performance. The incumbent will report to the chief and will be responsible for drafting, monitoring and recommending actions on budgets service-wide. This officer will supervise a clinical compliance officer and work with that position to develop and maintain a performance dashboard to guide the use of personnel, vehicles and other resources. This position will also be responsible for planning and implementing developmental projects. Requires five years’  relevant management experience and a bachelor’s degree in EMS administration, health services administration or business administration (the latter two with other EMS experience preferred); master’s degree in same disciplines preferred.

North East is initiating community paramedicine programs under Maine's pilot project process. We are the largest paramedic service in Maine with 220 employees doing over 30,000 ambulance transports a year. We have been an inter facility transport service, but have 9-1-1 response in two areas of the state, and do emergency response to many facilities. In addition, we operate the NICU/PICU team response from the Barbara Bush Children's Hospital at Maine Medical Center, and are the largest provider of paramedic interfacility transport (PIFT – a "CCT light" program unique to Maine).
