    <div class="html-content"><div>Accessibility and Disability Services and Student Disability Services celebrates Women's History Month, calling to mind all women who have contributed to pivotal moments and events in history and contemporary society, especially through the intersectional identity of disability. These criteria apply to all awards unless otherwise stated.</span></span></span><h3><span><span><span>1. Award Frequency Restrictions</span></span></span></h3><span><span><span>Recipients may not receive the same award more than once within a four-year period. This ensures broader recognition and encourages a diverse pool of awardees.</span></span></span><h3><span><span><span>2. Nomination Solicitation Policy</span></span></span></h3><span><span><span>Any individual found to have actively solicited nominations for themselves may be disqualified at the discretion of the Awards Review Committee. This policy upholds the integrity of the nomination process and fosters a culture of peer-driven recognition.</span></span></span><h3><span><span><span>3. General Eligibility Requirements</span></span></span></h3><span><span><span>All nominees must be in good academic and disciplinary standing with UMBC at the time of nomination. Additional eligibility criteria specific to each award (e.g., active GSA membership or Senator status) must also be met. </span></span></span><h3><span><span><span>4. Review and Selection Process</span></span></span></h3><span><span><span>The Awards Review Committee will evaluate nominations using standardized rubrics and established criteria.     <div class="html-content"><h2><a href="https://my3.my.umbc.edu/groups/library/events?mode=upcoming" rel="nofollow external" class="bo">Tuesday, April 1, 2025</a><span> </span><span>· 3 - 4 PM</span></h2><div><div><br></div></div><div><div><span><p><span>Publishing your work is considered one of the primary pillars of a research project, graduate students are often hunted by policies and recommendations to publish several papers as part of their graduate experience, some use their publications as part of their thesis or dissertation and some programs even require students to be a first author in order to be considered for graduation from a PhD program. </span></p><br><p><span>How do you even start the process of writing a publication? What are impact factors and how do you decide if your data is impactful enough to be submitted to a particular publication or journal?
