I invite you to participate in a short dissertation study that is investigating feelings of belongingness in college students. The study is specifically targeting first-generation college students, but all students that are currently enrolled in a four-year college/university or community college are encouraged to participate.</div><div> </div><div><br></div><div>Participation involves completing a one-time, online survey that will take approximately 10 minutes. <Title>Claire Hempel's URCAD Presentation in Eng 023 at 4pm</Title>
<Tagline>Social-Emotional Skills of Young Latino English Learners</Tagline>

    <div class="html-content"><p><br>                  This research examines the social-emotional skills of Latino English Learners (ELs). analyze  classroom context and teacher practices facilitate student growth in social-emotional skills. </p><p><br></p><p>Preliminary results indicate that teachers reported <u><em><em>higher levels of approaches to learning, attentional focus, and inhibitory control for Latino ELs than for native-English Latinos, Whites, and Black children after controlling for socioeconomic status.</em></em></u> </p><p><br></p><p> The results from this study will be useful in developing a better understanding of Latino English Learners and may help to facilitate their success.          </p><p><br></p><p><strong>Come check out her presentation TOMORROW the 22nd in Eng 023</strong></p><p><strong> at 4 p.m.</strong>           </p></div>

<Title>URCAD Presentation on Overhead Crane Runway Surveying</Title>

About 150-200 million people in the world are infected with Hepatitis C (HCV), a virus that leads to cirrhosis of the liver as well as hepatocellular carcinoma. In the United States, an estimated 3.2 million people are infected with this virus. There is no vaccine currently available, and current treatments are not completely effective. His poster presentation will show the research he has done in this topic.</p></div>
