    <div>We are pleased to share with you the Call for Papers for the Twenty-ninth International Conference on Learning, University of Valencia, Valencia, Spain, 13–15 July 2022.</div>

    <div>The Learner Research Network is brought together around a common concern for learning in all its sites, formal and informal, and at all levels, from early childhood, to schools, colleges and universities, and adult, community and workplace education. We seek to build an epistemic community where we can make linkages across disciplinary, geographic, and cultural boundaries.</div>

After all, we are #OnePatapsco.  As community members, you may be able to help send great candidates our way to fill a few support staff vacancies at our school.  We are hiring for 1 SA (student assistant) position, and 1 TE (temporary employee) position for special </span><span>education.  </span><br><span><br></span>

<Title>Fulbright Teaching Research Program</Title>

    <div class="html-content">The Fulbright Distinguished Awards in Teaching Research Program provides an opportunity for K–12 educators from the United States to conduct research and engage in other professional learning experiences abroad for three to six months. Participants work on individual inquiry projects on a topic relevant to education in the United States and the host country, take courses at a host university, and collaborate with colleagues on educational practices to improve student learning.<div><br></div>

    <div>Distinguished educators who are selected to participate in the program will:</div>

    <div>Design and implement an Inquiry Project related to education in the United States and their host country.</div>
    <div>Build global networks of researchers, practitioners, and policy makers.</div>
    <div>Exchange ideas and best educational practices.</div>
    <div>Develop resources and tools that can be used long after the project ends.</div>
    <div>Upon returning home, educators will be expected to share the knowledge and experience gained during the program with educators and students in their home schools and communities.</div>

    <div><span>Beginning on the first day of classes, the Women's Center will resume our traditional in-person hours of operation and will welcome community members into our physical space. </span></div>

    <span>In order to maintain physical </span><span>distancing</span><span>, the lounge space will be operating at 50% capacity. Masks are required to be in our space. </span>

<Title>Update on DML Services</Title>

    <div>The Digital Media Lab is excited to reopen on Monday, August 30, 2021. Our services will look a little different because of the pandemic, so here is a brief rundown of what to expect.</div>
    <div><br></div>
    <ul>
    <li>We are only open on weekdays from 12 to 4 PM</li>
    <li>The Whisper Room is unavailable until further notice</li>
    <li>The A/V Room has a limited capacity of two (2) people</li>
    <ul><li>Individuals may use this room to record audio in lieu of the booth</li></ul>
    <li>Three Mac computers and a flatbed scanner will be available</li>
    </ul>
    <div>We have limited the maximum capacity in the DML to seven (7) people, including the desk attendant, to encourage social distancing. Please space yourselves if you are waiting to check out equipment and do not crowd into the room. We encourage everyone to visit <a href="https://library.umbc.edu/media/dml.php" rel="nofollow external" class="bo">our website</a> for details about available equipment before visiting. Remember that you must present your UMBC card in order to borrow anything. <br>
