Group Counseling services at Retriever Integrated Health

There will be five groups this semester (one with multiple rounds.) We are offering both in-person and virtual groups, as well as many groups that will remain open for participants throughout the semester. You can find information about them in the attached "Group Descriptions" document and flyers. Please spread the word and share with students as well as colleagues.

There's truly something for everyone within RIH's group program! All RIH's services are LGBTQIA2S+ friendly and are welcoming to all diverse populations. The first step for a student to join a group is to complete RIH (410.455.25420 or making an appointment through the RetrieverCare portal. Anyone interested in more information can contact our Group Coordinator Lauren Mirzakhalili at lmirzak1@umbc.edu. Interested students should contact her through their RetrieverCare portal.

The Digital Media Lab is excited to offer three new equipment models to our users: the Nikon D7500, the Canon T7 webcam kit, and the Magnus tripod.

Bring your UMBC card and visit the DML on the library's 2nd floor to borrow equipment for one week at a time. All of our items are first-come, first-served and cannot be reserved or renewed.

UMBC, along with 17 other libraries across the University System of Maryland and Affiliated Institutions (USMAI), implemented a new OneSearch library discovery system called Primo. This system migration is a huge step forward to modernize the Library’s current functionality and usability, increasing cooperation with other systems across our campus and with other academic institutions across the state. Since it went live in May 2024, the Library has worked diligently to learn this new system to better assist faculty, students, and staff. 

Primo now powers the AOK OneSearch, the Library’s main search bar on the home page, streamlining search functions within UMBC’s resources, USMAI’s availability, and beyond. You will notice more features that will allow you to easily manage your loans, requests, and fines/fees. We encourage all UMBC community members to familiarize themselves with this new, exciting system by visiting library.umbc.edu to get started with a search!

Throughout the Fall 2024 semester, UMBC subject librarians will facilitate workshops (virtual and hybrid) on navigating Primo. Please visit our Events page to register for upcoming workshops.
