    <div class="html-content"><div>BASIC INFORMATION</div><div><br></div><div><u>Position Title:</u> Lecturer in Economics</div><div><br></div><div><u>Location:</u> UMBC, Baltimore, MD</div><div><br></div><div><u>Position Type:</u> Faculty</div><div><br></div><div><u>Position Description</u></div><div>Duties include teaching undergraduate courses in introductory and intermediate level microeconomics and macroeconomics as well as opportunities for teaching upper level undergraduate special field courses. The position has a teaching load of 4 three credit hour courses each semester. The successful candidate will also be encouraged to participate in undergraduate curriculum development and student learning outcomes assessment. </div><div><br></div><div>The University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) is a mid-sized research university located between Washington and Baltimore with a Carnegie classification of RU/H: Research Universities (high research activity).  UMBC has a strong national reputation for undergraduate teaching innovation.     <div class="html-content"><div>BASIC INFORMATION</div><div><br></div><div><u>Position Title</u>: Assistant Professor of Economics</div><div><br></div><div><u>Location:</u> UMBC, Baltimore, MD</div><div><br></div><div><u>Position Type:</u> Faculty</div><div><br></div><div><u>Position Description</u></div><div><u><br></u></div><div>Duties entail active publication in peer reviewed journals along with graduate and undergraduate teaching in the field of health economics and related areas of applied microeconomics.  While teaching will be focused in the Department of Economics, the successful applicant for this position will have opportunities to participate in teaching and dissertation advising in the health policy and economics tracks of the Public Policy PhD program at UMBC.  UMBC is initiating a multi-year interdisciplinary faculty hiring initiative related to the theme of Health Equity/Health Disparities.
