The Salata Institute for Climate and Sustainability at Harvard University is hiring for its inaugural class of pre-doctoral research fellows in environmental economics to work with faculty mentors Ishan Nath, Anna Russo, Wolfram Schlenker, and Charles Taylor.
Fellows will work on a wide range of research tasks across several fields of economics in a supportive, collaborative, and fun research environment. Interested applicants should submit a letter of interest and a resume/CV at the link below. As a technologist, he identifies and funds the development of transformative space technologies that could help shape the future. Before his career in space technology and while he was a student at UMBC, Frank was a bartender and oyster shucker. Frank is an avid gamer, a bacon cheeseburger enthusiast and enjoys forced cuddles with his dog Ajax. Frank is originally from Chevy Chase, MD and was an Economics major at UMBC.

All students now show an advising & clearance hold on their MyUMBC accounts for Spring 2025 enrollment.
Econ & FIEC majors should stay tuned for an emailed announcement from the Department of Economics on or about October 8th, 2024 with information on your assigned clearance advisor as well as instructions and links on the process of registration clearance and advanced registration.

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), a 21st century government agency that implements and enforces Federal consumer financial law and ensures that markets for consumer financial products are fair, transparent, and competitive is recruiting this fall for the Director’s Financial Analyst (DFA) position to start in June 2025, and we want to encourage graduating seniors/recent graduates to apply.
ABOUT THE CFPB DFA PROGRAM
A highly selective, two-year rotational fellowship designed to engage young professionals in meaningful public service work. Each year, the CFPB hires a new cohort of Director’s Financial Analysts to gain a unique experience working alongside senior policymakers and researchers to help make financial markets work better for all.

February 13-15, 2025 Sadie TM Alexander Conference for Economics and Related Fields (SACE): Tickets have opened for our seventh annual conference and we’d love for you to attend! The theme for this year is “Diverse Voices, Sustainable Solutions” and it will be held virtually, empowering diverse voices from around the globe to share ideas on driving impactful change through a sustainable lens in economics, data science, policy and finance. The Call for Speaker Proposals is open until September 29th, 2024, and our Research Scholars Poster Session Call is open until October 16th, 2024.
