Stipend, Housing, Travel Expenses & Meal Plan- Deadline to Apply Friday, 1/8/21
In special partnership with The Leadership Alliance, the University of Chicago will select up to three current UMBC undergraduates for an amazing research internship in economics.  The program is designed for undergraduate students with strong quantitative and analytical backgrounds of ALL majors.  This nine-week residential program exposes students to three program components: research, mentorship, and graduate school preparation.

Participants will be offered a $3,700 stipend ($350/week X 9 weeks) plus a $550 meal plan amounting to $4,250 in support. Participating students will be given a dining card for the purchase of meals at the University dining facilities.

Summer Internship Program

The Pathways Internship Program is a Summer 2021 opportunity for current (students are eligible if they are enrolled as students before, during, and after Summer 2021) undergraduate and graduate students.  Interns work directly with a seasoned member of our team on policy and research projects and are assigned to one project which they are expected to complete during the twelve-week program.  Interns will be expected to work independently but will be provided necessary on-the-job training and mentorship to support them in their work.  Strong Intern candidates may be considered for possible future Research Assistant opportunities within the Office of Research.
