Anita Griner - Project Management at UMBC
Interview with Anita Griner, Project Management Instructor at UMBC.
Project management concepts have evolved over decades in the defense community yet remain largely unknown by junior staff, and sadly ignored by senior staff who should be using these best practices when they find themselves thrust into project management roles. This course is built around the five project management process groups: Initiating, Planning, Executing, Monitoring & Controlling, and Closing. With instructor and peer coaching, you will apply those processes in the authentic context of a class project. Over the span of the course you will progress from timeātested fundamentals to the very latest concepts and fads -- more than adequate experience to jump into any project management challenge. The fundamentals can be applied within any industry and work environment, and will serve as the foundation for more specialized project management study.
