Beware of Fraudulent Job Offers
Raise your hand if you received a phishy looking email with subject "Job Opening!" this morning. I know many people did.

As phishing scams and fraudulent job offer emails continue to be a threat to our community (especially students), it helps to be aware of things to look out for. We, the Career Center, had Commonvision create this "Beware of Fraudulent Job Offers" video back in 2022 and then update it in Spring 2023.

We have had it running continuously on the screen in our reception area, and periodically had it run on the screens in the Commons/UC Plaza when we see an uptick in these types of scams.

Today, I was made aware of a student who saw this video, who then was able to help a friend identify they were being scammed and stop communication with the would be scammer.

I encourage all of you to add this video to your screens where appropriate. Thanks.
