The BEYA STEM Global Competitiveness Conference sponsored by Career
Communications Group will be held February 6-8, 2014.
As part of this large annual conference, representatives from several
major corporations and universities will be on hand to meet with
students pursuing careers in the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering
and Math) fields as well as Business, Finance, and Marketing.
The Career Fair portion of the conference, on Saturday, is free of
charge for UMBC students and alumni with an active UMBC email address.
This year, the Saturday evening awards Gala is also free to UMBC students
on a first-come-first-serve basis (pre-registration required). You may
recall that last year, Dr. Hrabowski was recognized as the Black
Engineer of the Year.
Once again, UMBC is in the forefront as the 2014 Black Engineer of the
Year is a UMBC alum:
Stephanie C. Hill
President, Civil Information Systems & Global Solutions
Lockheed Martin Corporation.
The pre-registration deadline is Wed, Feb. 5. To register and for
additional information, go to:

All students are welcome to attend. Contact Diane Crump-Fogle of the UMBC Career Services Center for additional information.
Students should dress to impress and bring plenty of updated resumes!
Note: Graduate School Admissions reps will also be in attendance.

Note: There will be a free shuttle bus to transport students to and from
the Conference.
