As CWIT scholars and affiliates, many of us have expressed a commitment to service to further CWIT's mission. As a joint effort between CWIT SC, ASME, ISCOM, and SWE, Let's GetTechyis a project that brings in middle school students to UMBC and allows them to cycle through three different activities IT, Engineering, & Campus Tour. We target middle school students because research has shown that is the time when kids start thinking about what they want to be when they grow up and what subjects they like and don't like.
