Do you like working with kids? Are you interested in design and development for mobile devices (e.g., Android phones or tablets)? Do you want to learn how to create intelligent user interfaces that recognize and interpret user input?
The MTAGIC project is looking for a student for an independent study or paid hourly position in Spring 2013 in one of several possible research areas:
• Develop and test mobile apps for kids on the Android platform.
• Conduct user studies with kids and mobile devices and analyze the data.
• Learn about gesture recognition algorithms and interactions for mobile touchscreen devices.
An interested student should be an undergraduate, Master’s, or PhD student in Human-Centered Computing, Information Systems, or Computer Science who is interested in research involving children and child-computer interaction.
