Learn more about what CWIT is! CWIT *pronounced see-wit) stands for the Center for Women in Technology at UMBC. CWIT is dedicated to increasing the participation of women in the creation of technology and in engineering and IT majors and careers. We currently serve 50 CWIT Scholars through our freshman merit scholarship. Our CWIT Affiliates Program is open to all women (and interested) men studying engineering and IT at UMBC. CWIT programs and activities build connections, promote academic success, and enhance the professional development of women in technology majors at UMBC.
