    UMBC CSEE faculty member and Associate VP for Research Development <a href="https://www.csee.umbc.edu/people/faculty/don-engel/" rel="nofollow external" class="bo">Don Engel </a>and his family saw his father, Peter "Pete" Engel, graduate from UMBC in December with a bachelor's degree in history. <div><br></div><div>Peter Engel graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park in 1972 and went on to get a law degree there. When he retired two years ago, he enrolled in UMBC's Golden ID program, which allows seniors to take courses tuition free.</div><div><br></div><div>His current plans include pursuing a Master's degree in history at UMBC.
