1/30/2017 is Go-Live for the TargetX CRM! On Wednesday, 1/25/2017 and Thursday, 1/26/2017 the project team members as well as users of the system attended onsite TargetX training in Sherman Hall East, room 464. In attendance were over 13 UMBC employees from The Graduate School, Information Systems and DPS.
Monday is Go-Live which means that the system will be open for users to start entering inquiries into TargetX. Capabilities will be available for the different areas to deploy public inquiry web forms that will populate information from inquirers directly into TargetX. Users will also have the ability to search for inquiry records as well as track interactions with inquirers (i.e. from within TargetX log a call and or send an email).
Go-live items we are still working on:
- Finalizing the cleansing of the legacy data that has been imported into TargetX
- Continue developing email campaigns for marketing to students.
- Firm-up record deduplication plans throughout the life of the CRM using tools provided by TargetX.
- Practicing and documenting changed/new business processes with the implementation of TargetX.
Post go-live there are plans to meet periodically during the first week to discuss possible issues stemming from system launch. Also to broaden communication regarding TargetX we have implemented the use Chatter which is a social tool embedded within CRM that allows for staff interactions. There is a “UMBC” Chatter group that created during training last week in which users joined.
