Hello Writers,
We’re excited to share an overview of our upcoming initiatives, projects, and opportunities for member involvement during the summer and into the Fall 2025 semester.
This message outlines key decisions made during our meeting, important dates to note, and new ideas we’re developing to grow our creative community. Whether you’ve attended one meeting or many, we welcome your continued engagement and feedback.
Summer Writing Workshops
We will be hosting three virtual writing workshops during the summer break. These workshops are open to all members and will include writing prompts, collaborative exercises, and space for sharing work. They are designed to help us stay connected, inspired, and creatively active throughout the summer months.
Scheduled Dates:
Saturday, June 28th | 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Saturday, July 19th | 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Saturday, August 9th | 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Links and workshop details will be distributed in advance of each session.
Collaborative Creative Projects
1. Shared Story Project
This summer, we will be launching an open Google Document where members can collaboratively write one continuous story. The project is open-ended and will allow contributors to build upon each other’s work in a relaxed and imaginative way.
2. Club Magazine
We are planning the release of a digital magazine featuring original writing by club members. Submissions will open soon and may include poetry, fiction, flash pieces, and creative nonfiction. If feasible, we aim to print a limited number of physical copies as well.
Summer Writing Engagement
Weekly writing prompts will be shared through our Discord throughout the summer. These are intended to be low-pressure and fun, helping members stay creatively engaged regardless of schedule or availability.
Logo Design & Club Branding
We are currently exploring options for club branding and visual identity. Members will soon have the opportunity to submit designs for a club logo, which will be used on future materials and merchandise. Final designs will be voted on by the club. If necessary, we may also consider commissioning student artists through Commonvision.
We are also brainstorming merchandise ideas for the 2025–2026 academic year, including stickers, pins, bookmarks and other creative keepsakes.
Future Club Activities
Here are several activities and events we hope to implement in the fall semester, based on member interest and input:
Craft Nights – Including bookbinding, aged paper projects, and letter-writing
Study Sessions – Quiet, supportive study spaces during midterm and finals periods
Game Night – Storytelling-based games designed to spark creativity
Writing sprees – raffle prizes, publication opportunities
Feedback Form – We Want Your Input
We strongly encourage all members to complete our brief feedback form. Your responses will help us plan better events, meet the needs of our members, and improve the overall club experience.

Warm regards,
