Generac Industrial Power is bringing their “Power Trip Experience” to the UMBC campus. The Generac tractor trailer that will provide the demonstration/learning experience is set up as a small classroom (16-seats) with hands-on demonstrations of generator operations. Interested students and faculty are welcome to attend.
The demonstration will simulate a power outage; demonstrate parallel generator operation and control; explain software capabilities for monitoring and control; explain features of the 600 kW bi-fuel generator (natural gas and diesel fuel); and provide an overview of power solutions available from Generac.
The demonstration will occur on Friday, October 30, 2015, in Lot 26 behind the TRC Building. The Generac tractor trailer is scheduled to arrive at 12:30 PM. A second demonstration will take place at 1:30pm.
