<Title>The Society of American Military Engineers Scholarship</Title>

    <div class="html-content"><strong>PURPOSE</strong><br>The purpose of the SAME Baltimore Post Scholarship and Educational Outreach Fund is to encourage and support talented students to pursue careers in engineering, architecture, or the physical sciences. We accomplish this through scholarships awarded to qualified students who are pursuing a baccalaureate degree in these fields. Our scholarship recipients are selected on a merit-based approach.<br><br><strong>SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS</strong><br>Our program awards scholarships in three categories - One-Year Scholarships, Four-Year Scholarships and Relative Scholarships. All scholarship awards are in the amount of $2,000 per academic year and are awarded during the first semester.<br><br>Those students who are interested can obtain an application form from <a href="http://www.samebalt.org">www.samebalt.org</a>. Applicants are to select all categories they would like to be considered for, provided they meet the requirements. General requirements for all SAME scholarships are specified on the “Scholarship Selection Criteria” sheet of the application. Additional requirements for each of the three scholarship categories are provided below.<br><br><u>One-Year Scholarships</u><br>One-year scholarships are awarded to students entering their freshman, sophomore, junior or senior year. Students must meet the “Scholarship Selection Criteria” requirements and must be attending a school that is in the SAME Baltimore Post geographic region. A list of eligible schools for the current academic year is provided below.<br><br><u>Four-Year Scholarships</u><br>Four-year scholarships are awarded to incoming freshmen. Candidates for four-year scholarships may be nominated by the school or the candidate may self-nominate. Students must meet the “Scholarship Selection Criteria” requirements and must be attending a school that is in the SAME Baltimore Post geographic region. A list of eligible schools for the current academic year is provided below. <Title>Still Not Registered For Fall Classes?</Title>

    <div class="html-content">If you are currently enrolled in Spring semester classes, but haven't registered for the fall semester, it's time for you to make an appointment to meet with your advisor.<br><br>Even if you have a hold on your account, you may come meet with your advisor so that you can get registration clearance. Then, once your hold is lifted, you'll be ready to register.<br><br>Not sure who your advisor is? Read below for more information.<br><br><u><strong>Students Who Have Not Completed the Gateway:</strong></u><br>Students who have not completed the gateway requirements for their major must 
    meet with an academic advisor in order to be cleared for registration. 
    Sign-up sheets are posted on the bulletin boards outside the advising 
    offices ITE 202-206.  <br><br>This semester we are continuing to offer individual advising appointments. Advising appointments require approximately 20 minutes of your time and give you the opportunity to 
    review your registration plans with an advisor.<br><br>In order for this process to go as smoothly as possible, we ask all students to come to the 
    hallway outside ITE 202-206 to sign up for advising. Please make a
     note of the date and time of your appointment.<br><strong><br>Prior to your appointment:</strong><br>1.    Please review your scheduling options by looking over the schedule of classes available on the UMBC website<strong><a href="http://my.umbc.edu/go/schedule" rel="nofollow external" class="bo"> HERE</a></strong>.<br>2.    Review your degree audit – major and general education/foundation requirements, so that you are aware of the courses still needed to complete your degree requirements.     your degree audit to check your progress in completing the gateway

    assigned faculty advisor’s name online. To access this information,

    <div class="html-content">Attention Mechanical, Chemical, Computer Engineering, and Computer Science Majors:<br><br>Registration for Fall 2014 classes has started. As a reminder, all students must meet with an advisor for pre-registration advising. Please see the information below to determine your next steps in the registration advising process.<br><u><strong><br>Students Who Have Not Completed the Gateway:</strong></u><br>Students who have not completed the gateway requirements for their major must meet with an academic advisor in order to be cleared for registration. Sign-up sheets are posted on the bulletin boards outside the advising offices ITE 202-206.  <br><br>This semester we are continuing to offer group advising appointments. Group advising appointments require approximately 30 minutes of your time and give you the opportunity to review your registration plans with multiple advisors in a small group setting. Students who attend group advising will be cleared to register during the group advising session. <br><br>If you attend group advising, you may still sign up to meet with an advisor individually to address any additional questions or concerns you may have. However, an individual appointment is not required.<br><br>In order for this process to go as smoothly as possible, we ask all students to come to the hallway outside ITE 202-206 to sign up for group advising. Please make a note of the date and time of your appointment.<br><strong><br>Prior to your appointment:</strong><br>1.    Please review your scheduling options by looking over the schedule of classes available on the UMBC website<strong> <a href="http://my.umbc.edu/go/schedule" rel="nofollow external" class="bo">HERE</a></strong>.<br>2.    Review your degree audit – major and general education/foundation requirements, so that you are aware of the courses still needed to complete your degree requirements. However, you will not be able to register until your assigned registration time. Your registration time is the earliest date and time that you may register for classes.     <div class="html-content"><strong>Purpose</strong><br><br>The purpose of the PDA Capital Area Chapter Scholarship is to provide college scholarship awards to students who have shown a career interest in the sciences or engineering with an emphasis on entering scientific or technical careers within the pharmaceutical industry.<br><br><strong>Awards</strong><br><br>An undergraduate scholarship will be awarded. Awards are for one year only, but recipients may re-apply for a second year. All scholarship awards will be paid directly to the recipients.<br><br><strong>Eligibility</strong><br><br>1.     Applicants must be full-time undergraduate students attending a 4-year accredited college or university.<br><br>2.     Applicants must be majoring in a field of science or engineering, including life sciences and information technology.<br><br>3.     Applicants must be a rising junior or senior.<br><br>4.     Applicants must be US citizens.
