    <div class="html-content"><h3>Fall 2019 Registration: Advising Appointment Information<br></h3><br><h4>Current Students:</h4><div>Students must meet with an advisor in order to obtain registration clearance for the upcoming fall semester. <br></div><div><br></div><div>Engineering (chemical, computer, mechanical) and Computer Science majors and Pre-majors, please visit the <a href="https://advising.coeit.umbc.edu/registration/" rel="nofollow external" class="bo"><u>advising website</u></a> for instructions on how to sign up for your advising appointment. <br></div><div><br></div><div>Information Systems and Business Technology Administration majors (or students intending to change to one of these majors) are advised in the Information Systems Department. Please go <a href="https://advising.coeit.umbc.edu/undergraduate-information-systems-majors/" rel="nofollow external" class="bo"><u>here</u></a> for more information.</div><div><br></div><div>If you are changing your major to a major outside the College of Engineering and Information Technology, please contact the respective department of your <a href="https://advising.umbc.edu/academic-advising/student-resources/departmental-advising/" rel="nofollow external" class="bo">new major</a> for advising appointment instructions. Students do not need to meet with an advisor prior to registering for summer courses unless you have questions or concerns. The majority of summer courses at UMBC do not require permission to enroll. If the course requires department consent, please contact an advisor.     <p><span>Selected recipients will each receive a $1,000 scholarship from the Association
    of Old Crows (AOC) APG-Susquehanna Chapter and a one year AOC membership from the
    National AOC. Winners will be recognized and awarded scholarships at the
    Chapter Distinguished Speaker and Scholarship Awards Luncheon scheduled for April 18, 2019.<br></span></p>
    
    
    
    
    
    <p><strong></strong></p><p><strong><span><br></span></strong></p><p><strong><span>2019 AOC
    Scholarship AWARD REQUIREMENTS:</span></strong></p>
    
    <p><span>Students must be undergraduate degree-seeking in the areas of
    engineering or computer sciences and be able to articulate a career interest
    related to the AOC professional mission in the fields of military communications,
    electronic warfare (EW), Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance (ISR), electromagnetic
    spectrum management operations (EMSO), cyber electromagnetic activities (CEMA),
    and/or information operations (IO). For example, a future career on a team (Government/Industry)
    that: develops systems that protect pilots from enemy anti-aircraft weapons and
    ground troops and civilians from Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) or
    develops tools and programs to counter enemy EW and cyber-attacks.</span></p>
    
    <p><strong><span><br></span></strong></p><p><strong><span>APPLICATION
    INSTRUCTIONS</span></strong><span>:</span></p>
    
    
    
    <p>Please complete the attached application and essay and return <strong>with two academic reference letters</strong> to Josh Abrams (ITE 202) or Catherine Bielawski (ITE 206). <strong>Submission deadline is Wednesday,March 20, 2019.</strong> Scholarship
    winners will be notified  in April, 2019.</p>

    <p><strong></strong></p><p><span>Selected recipients will each receive a $1,000 scholarship from the Association
    of Old Crows (AOC) APG-Susquehanna Chapter and a one year AOC membership from the
    National AOC. Winners will be recognized and awarded scholarships at the
    Chapter Distinguished Speaker and Scholarship Awards Luncheon scheduled for April 18, 2019.<br></span></p>
    
    
    
    
    
    <p><strong><span></span></strong></p><p><strong><span><br></span></strong></p><p><strong><span>2019 AOC
    Scholarship AWARD REQUIREMENTS:</span></strong></p>
    
    <p><span>Students must be undergraduate degree-seeking in the areas of
    engineering or computer sciences and be able to articulate a career interest
    related to the AOC professional mission in the fields of military communications,
    electronic warfare (EW), Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance (ISR), electromagnetic
    spectrum management operations (EMSO), cyber electromagnetic activities (CEMA),
    and/or information operations (IO). For example, a future career on a team (Government/Industry)
    that: develops systems that protect pilots from enemy anti-aircraft weapons and
    ground troops and civilians from Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) or
    develops tools and programs to counter enemy EW and cyber-attacks.</span></p>
    
    <p><strong><span><br></span></strong></p><p><strong><span>APPLICATION
    INSTRUCTIONS</span></strong><span>:</span></p>

    in the STEM fields in addition to various other challenges and
