UMBC CBEE alumnus and Duke neuroscientist Dr. Kafui Dzirasa (lab website; ChE'01, M8) recently spoke as part of a panel with President Barack Obama on Brain Science hosted during the recent White House Frontiers Conference in Pittsburgh. The conference was convened with a "...focus on building U.S. capacity in science, technology, and innovation, and the new technologies, challenges, and goals that will continue to shape the 21st century and beyond."
Earlier this year, Dr. Dzirasa was awarded the Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers (PECASE).
