[3/2/2010]--Theresa Good, Professor of Chemical and Biochemical Engineering was selected by National Science Foundation (NSF) to be a Program Director in Biotechnology, Biochemical and Biomass Engineering. She began her position at NSF in 2010, where she manages research programs in areas of biotechnology and biochemical engineering including metabolic engineering, synthetic biology, stem cell technologies and tissue engineering.
Dr. Good is the chair for the Biochemical Technology Division of ACS and the past chair of the Food, pharmaceutical and Bioengineering division of the American Institute for Chemical Engineers. She is a fellow of the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering and a former NSF CAREER awardee. Her laboratory has published more than 40 peer reviewed articles and is funded by the National Institutes of Health, the National Science Foundation, the State of Maryland, and private industry.
