Prof. Upal Ghosh received a supplemental award to his existing NIEHS Superfund Research Program R01 project titled: “Pilot Scale Research of Novel Amendment Delivery for In-Situ Sediment Remediation”
The supplement will create a new job for a recent graduate. The full-time research technician position for 2 years will be a wonderful opportunity for a recent graduate from chemistry or engineering fields to get involved with an applied research project, learn from the effort, and hopefully get interested in graduate studies. The supplement also requests funding for the purchase of a TurboVap equipment that will greatly enhance the pace of research by cutting down the time students spend in the laboratory to concentrate samples for analysis. The purchase of the capital equipment will help equipment manufacturers that have been impacted by the economic downturn.
