I’m asking some of the people you might encounter on the UMBC campus, including students, faculty, staff and alumni, to answer a few questions about themselves and their experiences. These are their responses.
Hometown: Seabrook, MD
Q: How long have you been at UMBC?
A: I’ve been at UMBC since Fall 2007.
Q: What is your current title (job or student organization position)?
A:Inter-Fraternity Council President
Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity President
UMBC Rugby Social Chair
UMBC Choice Program Volunteer

Q: In 12 words or less, what role(s) do you play on campus?
A: Most prominently, I am a huge advocate for Greek Life.
Q: What aspect of your UMBC role(s) do you enjoy most?
A: I love creating and coordinating events for student life. I’ve put together some events in the past few years, such as the Miss Minerva Talent Pageant and Dance-a-Thon, that have brought a lot of fun to campus and spotlight some of our amazing talent.
A: More than anything I’ve learned that college, and life as a whole, is just what you make it. Every bad day I’ve ever had in or out of class has been of my own making. College is a maturing experience that helps you to realize that every day is a chance to be awesome—you just have to decide that’s exactly what you’re going to do.
Q: Complete this sentence: "I am a big fan of __________"
A: Smiling, regardless of the thousands of reasons not to. Shake it off brother, there are kids out there with no water.
Q: Do you have any UMBC stories, little-known facts about UMBC, favorite spots on campus, or anything else you’d like to share?
A: Not enough people stop to enjoy the rock garden. Slow down and check it out next time on the way to the RAC.
