If one of your goals was to attend the university that tops U.S. News & World Report's list of innovative national universities, congratulations; mission accomplished (5 years running). Now the question is, what's on your UMBC Bucket List: the things you want to be sure to do here while you have the chance? Sharing our lists at the start of the year has become a tradition. It's a way of holding ourselves accountable for making sure we have the experiences we don't want to miss.
I've been able to cross a lot of items off of my list over the years (this is my 11th at UMBC), but I still have plenty left: people I want to work with, events to attend, places on campus I've never seen from the inside (I'm looking at you, UMBC Observatory). This semester I'm planning to cross off the biggest and best item of them all: I'm set to complete my doctorate in Language, Literacy & Culture and become a very proud UMBC alum (in addition to being a staff member).
So what's on your bucket list? Take a look at the lists people posted last year and the year before for inspiration, then please share your list (in a comment). Then let's help each other follow through.
