Three college students, including two from UMBC, won primary elections earlier this week for seats on the Prince George's County Board of Education. The UMBC students are Edward Burroughs, 19, who already serves as a member of the Board, and David Murray, 20. Their victories were overwhelming: Burroughs defeated the second-place finisher in his district by 67%-16%, while Murray defeated the second-place finisher in his district by 55%-31%. Both appear well positioned for election to the Board in November.
