Are you planning to take Organic Chemistry I (CHEM351) in Spring 2013, but are a little concerned that you're not prepared?
Dr. Gierasch and the Chemistry Tutorial Center are offering an Individualized Readiness Assessment (pre-test) to help you determine which General Chemistry (CHEM101/102) topics you need to review prior to starting Organic Chemistry.
While any student can make use of this resource, it is highly recommended that the following students take the assessment:
- Students who took General Chemistry prior to Fall 2012 (IOW, you've had a break in your Chemistry sequence)
- Students who took General Chemistry (CHEM101/102) at another institution
- Students who received a C in either CHEM101 or CHEM102
To take the Organic Chemistry Assessment, follow the attached instructions to join the Chemistry Tutorial Center's Blackboard Organization, and then proceed to the test.
NOTE: The Organic Chemistry Assessment has NO BEARING on your grade or standing in Organic Chemistry I. It is intended to be a tool to help students be fully prepared for success in the course.
