<Title>Translational Life Science Technology at UMBC-Shady Grove</Title>

    <div class="html-content"><div><div>Translational Life Science Technology (TLST) is a new UMBC program launching in Fall 2018 at UMBC's Universities at Shady Grove campus. This major is designed for students who want to be competitive in the bioscience world of today and tomorrow, combining the theory of a traditional life science degree with real-world applications used by scientists in academic and industry research.</div><div><br></div><div>Master critical skills such as analytical thinking, data analysis, and data evaluation as you develop a comprehensive understanding of cell biology, biochemistry, lab instrumentation, statistics, epidemiology, and biochemical engineering.</div></div><div><br></div><div><strong><em>Students accepted to the TLST program for the Inaugural Cohort in Fall 2018 can receive a scholarship of $1000 for two years.*</em></strong></div><div><br></div><div><div>Program pre-requisites:</div><div>BIOL141 - Foundations of Biology: Cells, Energy &amp; Organisms</div><div>BIOL142 - Foundations of Biology: Ecology &amp; Evolution</div><div>BIOL275 - Microbiology</div><div>BIOL302 - Molecular &amp; General Genetics</div><div>BIOL300L - Experimental Biology Laboratory</div><div>CHEM101 - Principles of Chemistry I</div><div>CHEM102 - Principles of Chemistry II</div><div>CHEM102L - Introductory Chemistry Laboratory I</div><div>CHEM351 - Organic Chemistry I</div><div>CHEM351L - Organic Chemistry Laboratory I</div><div>MATH151 (or MATH155) - Calculus &amp; Analytical Geometry I (or Applied Calculus)</div><div>PHYS111 (or PHYS121) - Basic Physics I (or Introductory Physics I)</div></div><div><br></div><div><div>Questions about the program?
