<Title>STEM Scholarship Workshop Today</Title>

    <div class="html-content"><div><span>UMBC offers a number of scholarship programs for current undergraduate STEM students as well as assistance planning for post-graduate, prestigious scholarships. </span></div><div><span><br></span></div><div>In this workshop, CNMS Advising will provide an <strong>overview of the scholarship programs UMBC offers such as U-Rise/McNair, affiliate scholarship opportunities, prestigious scholarship guidance, and how to utilize Financial Aid's <a href="https://my3.my.umbc.edu/groups/cnmsadvising/events/136380/4f4da/4369f3a5d843efce57f6425910b15869/web/link?link=https%3A%2F%2Fscholarships.umbc.edu%2Fretriever%2F" rel="nofollow external" class="bo">Scholarship Retriever</a>. </strong>By the end of this workshop, students will be connected to respective campus offices and come up with a strategic plan to increase their competitiveness for these scholarship programs.</div><span><div><span><br></span></div>Participating in scholarship programs can assist with the financial burden of college but there are higher impact areas of support and mentoring involved as well (i.e. lab access, research guidance, conference participation, networking, peer support, etc.).</span><div><span><br></span></div><div><span>Come join us <strong>TOMORROW</strong>, <strong>Wednesday, November 20th from 12-1PM in UC 115</strong> for more information and to begin your scholarship journey! </span></div></div>

    <div class="html-content"><span><p><span><strong>TODAY, Wednesday, November 6th is the deadline to withdraw from individual courses "W" OR change grading methods to Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory "S/U".</strong></span></p><br><p><span>W/S/U course options count as an attempt in the class but do NOT impact your GPA.</span></p><br><p><span>If withdrawing from one or more courses will bring you to less than full time status (12 credits) there may be impacts in other areas such as </span><a href="https://scholarships.umbc.edu/" rel="nofollow external" class="bo"><span>scholarship</span></a><span>, </span><a href="https://financialaid.umbc.edu/contact/" rel="nofollow external" class="bo"><span>financial aid</span></a><span>, and </span><a href="https://reslife.umbc.edu/rlexperience/procedures/" rel="nofollow external" class="bo"><span>on-campus housing</span></a><span>. <Title>Individual Course Withdraw/S/U Deadline is THIS WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 6th.</Title>

    <div class="html-content"><span><p><span>This Wednesday, November 6th is the deadline to withdraw from individual courses "W" OR change grading methods to Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory "S/U".</span></p><p><br></p><p><span>W/S/U course options count as an attempt in the class but do NOT impact your GPA.</span></p><p><br></p><p><span>If withdrawing from one or more courses will bring you to less than full time status (12 credits) there may be impacts in other areas such as </span><a href="https://scholarships.umbc.edu/" rel="nofollow external" class="bo"><span>scholarship</span></a><span>, </span><a href="https://financialaid.umbc.edu/contact/" rel="nofollow external" class="bo"><span>financial aid</span></a><span>, and </span><a href="https://reslife.umbc.edu/rlexperience/procedures/" rel="nofollow external" class="bo"><span>on-campus housing</span></a><span>.
