<Tagline>Important Week 2 Updates -- Last week of Schedule Adjustment</Tagline>

    <div class="html-content">Now that we are entering the second week of classes and you have likely attended each of your courses at least once, there are some important updates, deadlines, and reminders to keep in mind. <div><br></div><div><span>1.) The CNMS Advising Office will be holding walk-in office hours for advising support </span><strong>Mo-Th 10AM-12PM &amp; 1PM-3PM in UC 205. If you are a new/incoming student please feel free to drop by at any time. Returning students should follow up with their assigned advisor (see <a href="https://cnmsadvising.umbc.edu/advising-assignments/" rel="nofollow external" class="bo">here</a>).</strong><span> Advisors can assist with schedule adjustments, registration troubleshooting, and general questions. Walk-in advising support is on a first come, first served basis and may result in a lengthy wait time during busy hours. Scheduled in person and virtual appointments can be arranged via email (</span><a href="https://my3.my.umbc.edu/groups/cnmsadvising/posts/CNMSAdvising@umbc.edu" rel="nofollow external" class="bo">CNMSAdvising@umbc.edu</a><span>). </span></div><div><span><br></span></div><div><span>2.) <strong>Tomorrow, September 8th</strong>, all course<strong> waitlists are purged and deactivated</strong>. Be sure to check your schedule to determine whether or not you have gained a seat in your desired courses and ensure that you are registered for a minimum of 12 credits (for full time status) at all times. Be sure to make any/all adjustments to your schedule ASAP. </span></div><div><span><br></span></div><div><span>3.) As a reminder -- </span><strong>The last day of schedule adjustment (i.e. last day to add/drop/swap your classes) is Wednesday, September 14th.  </strong><span>Once this deadline passes, all dropped courses will result in a withdraw or "W" on your transcript. </span></div><div><strong><br></strong></div><div><span>In essence, this week is about checking your schedule and making sure that you are all set for the semester.     <div class="html-content"><h3><span>A Study on Technology Acceptance to Support Personal Decision-making in the Context of COVID-19 ($10 Incentive)</span></h3><span><p><span>Take part in a UMBC-based survey</span></p><hr><p><span>Please see information below about a study open to all UMBC undergraduate students 18 years and older: </span></p><p><span>We are conducting an online survey study to learn more about the </span>willingness of individuals to accept a potential mobile app that shows an estimation of the occupancy level of different spaces (buildings, floors, etc.) on campus in real time. <span>We are inviting you to participate in our study. Your opinions are critical to developing a useful tool for supporting individual decision-making in these uncertain times!</span></p><p><span>You will be asked to complete a brief online Qualtrics screening survey that will take less than 5 minutes to complete and includes basic demographic and COVID-19 related questions</span>.<span> You will also be asked to provide an email address if you are willing to participate in the main study survey. Some students will then be selected to complete another online Qualtrics survey that will take less than 30 minutes and will explain the proposed technology and ask about your interest in and willingness to adopt this technology. </span></p><p><span>To participate in this study, you must be a UMBC undergraduate student and 18 years or older.  </span></p><p><span>After completing the screening survey, you will be entered into a drawing to win one of ten $10 gift cards. <Title>Welcome to the Fall 2022 Semester!</Title>

    <div class="html-content"><div>Welcome new and returning Retrievers! CNMS Advising is excited to have everyone back and campus and we are eager to help you tackle the fall semester!</div><div><br></div><div>Some important reminders/updates are as follows: </div><div><br></div><div>1.) The CNMS Advising Office will be holding walk-in office hours for advising support <strong>Mo-Th 10AM-12PM &amp; 1PM-3PM in UC 205. If you are a new/incoming student please feel free to drop by at any time. Returning students should follow up with their assigned advisor (see <a href="https://cnmsadvising.umbc.edu/advising-assignments/" rel="nofollow external" class="bo">here</a>).</strong> Advisors can assist with schedule adjustments, registration troubleshooting, and general questions. Walk-in advising support is on a first come, first served basis and may result in a lengthy wait time during busy hours. Scheduled in person and virtual appointments can be arranged via email (<a href="CNMSAdvising@umbc.edu" rel="nofollow external" class="bo">CNMSAdvising@umbc.edu</a>). </div><div><br></div><div>2.) <strong>The last day of schedule adjustment (i.e. last day to add/drop/swap your classes) is Wednesday, September 14th.  </strong>Make sure that you are happy with your classes, that you are FULLY registered for a minimum of 12 credits (if you need to be a full-time student), and that you have established a balanced plan for the semester. Feel free to <a href="https://cnmsadvising.umbc.edu/advising-assignments/" rel="nofollow external" class="bo">check in with your assigned advisor if you have any questions/concerns</a>.     <div class="html-content"><span><p><span>The 2022 fall semester is fast approaching, and as such, it’s important to check your schedule before the semester starts. Here are a few things to keep in mind:</span></p><ul><li><span>Are you registered for classes?</span></li><li><span>Does your schedule still work for you?</span></li><li><span>Are you registered in </span><span>enough</span><span> credits? If you intend to be a full-time student, you should be taking at least 12 credits in a semester, but we recommend enrolling in around 15. Please note that waitlisted courses do not count toward full-time status.</span></li></ul><p><span>If you need to make changes to your schedule, the last day to add or drop classes is September 14; however, course availability is low, so please check your registration and make any necessary changes as soon as possible.</span></p><br><span>Need to get in touch with an advisor?
