Dr. Rich Karpel has been awarded a Fulbright-Brazil Scientific Mobility Program Distinguished Chair.  This is a research/teaching award, 4 months total, and he will be researching and teaching in Sao Paulo ([our] summer of 2014 and 2015).  The research project involves biochemical, biophysical, and cell biological studies on crotamine, a snake venom-derived protein that could have useful applications as a drug-delivery vehicle.
