Congratulations to Michael Moubarek for receiving the prestigious Goldwater Scholarship. Michael is a Biochemistry and Molecular Biology major and is an undergraduate researcher in Dr. Chuck Beiberich's lab.
The Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship program accepts applications from sophomores and juniors (defined as students who expect to spend one to two more years to complete their undergraduate degrees). The program is named for former Arizona Senator Barry Goldwater, who was committed to encouraging Americans to pursue careers in science and mathematics. Goldwater Scholars receive 1-2 years of support for college expenses, up to $7,500 per year.
