Prof. Brian Cullum has been recommended for promotion to Fellow of SPIE by the Fellows Nominating Committee and approved by the SPIE Board of Directors.   Each of the new fellows will be formally recognized for their achievements at the 2014 SPIE event of their choosing, and their promotions will be also be publicized in individual press releases, the fellows section of SPIE.org and the member publication SPIE Professional during the first part of 2014. SPIE is a not-for-profit international professional society for optics and photonics technology, founded in 1955. It organizes technical conferences, trade exhibitions, and continuing education programs for researchers and developers in the light-based fields of physics, including, but not limited to: optics, photonics, and imaging engineering.
