Maryland MEP (MD MEP), a non-profit committed to growing and strengthening Maryland manufacturing, has announced its 2016 Manufacturing Summer Internship program for college students.
This new program will match college students spending this summer in Maryland with the best and most innovative manufacturing companies in the state. Selected applicants will work with companies they are paired with to develop a summer-long project that fits the student’s skill set and career goals.
In addition to onsite internship experience, all selected applicants will be offered the opportunity to share experiences with interns working at other companies throughout the state. Regular soft-skills training will be provided to help interns learn how to meet expectations and develop valuable project management and communication skills.
For the 2016 Manufacturing Summer Internship Program, MD MEP is seeking rising juniors, seniors or graduate students who are majoring in engineering, marketing, business or other related fields. All applicants must possess excellent oral and written communication skills, and provide their own transportation during the summer. Selected applicants will be paid at a rate decided by the company they are paired with.
