POSITION DESCRIPTION
Baltimore Equitable Insurance is in need of a summer intern to determine if the pricing of it’s homeowners’ insurance products is sufficient to cover the expenses incurred. Our product is unique in that we charge a one-time deposit for a level of coverage. No additional money is needed to maintain that level of coverage. When the policy is cancelled, the insured is refunded all the money. Claims, policy acquisition costs, reinsurance and overhead must be paid from the amount of money the deposit is earning while the policy is in effect.
The summer intern will be supervised and directed by an actuary from our reinsurance company, General Reinsurance (reinsurance is insurance for insurance companies).
The internship will be a paid position and will commence mid-May 2015 and end in August 2015 with hours 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday.
Our office is located in downtown Baltimore, at the corner of Charles and Fayette Street.
Parking will be paid by Baltimore Equitable.
