Are you spending your summer doing an internship, co-op or research experience? Want to share your experience with the UMBC community?
Using #UMBCintern, post your favorite photos of your summer experience for the chance to win fun prizes.
Eligibility
The contest is open to any currently enrolled student who is completing a Summer 2014 research, internship, or co-op experience at least part-time (minimum 10 hours a week).
You must be enrolled at UMBC in Fall 2014.
Winners will be asked to verify experience if not currently enrolled in the UMBC Practicum Notation.
We recommend your Twitter account be public in order for pictures to be accessed.
How to Participate
Follow @UMBCcareers.
Submit your photo(s) via Twitter from August 1st, 7:00 a.m. through August 15th, 8:00 p.m. using the hashtag #UMBCintern .
Thinking about what photo to take? Here are some ideas:
1) Take a picture in front of your company sign.
2) Find as many UMBC current students and alumni to be in the picture with you while at work.
3) Show us a picture of your internship in action.
4) Bring UMBC gear to work and show your school pride at your internship.
Guidelines
To be consider a valid entry, you must be following @UMBCcareers, include one picture in your tweet, and your placement site must be identifiable either through the tweet (mentioning the company or organization name) or the picture (such as a photo in front of a company sign).
Only one entry (one photo) will be accepted per day per Twitter handle.
Up to three entries per person will be accepted throughout the entire contest.
Three winning students will be notified about their prizes via email and Twitter in late August.
Prizes and Selection of Winners
The Career Center will randomly select three winners, who will be notified via Twitter Direct Message by August 19th. All three students will be featured as the UMBC Intern of the Week in the Fall. Additional prizes include a UMBC portfolio, UMBC Career Services Center mug and a gift card for Five Guys. You must contact the Career Services Center with 48 hours of notification to receive your prize or the next alternate will be contacted.

By submitting a creative work for this contest, you acknowledge and agree to UMBC’s Terms and Permissions. A picture being retweeted by the UMBC community or the general public does not increase your chance of winning or count as an additional entry. This contest is not associated with Twitter.
