The UMBC Career Center works very hard to ensure that job postings in Handshake are legitimate positions, and Handshake has shown to be a very reliable source to find great opportunities. However, scammers are becoming more and more creative and they are circumventing Handshake.

***We have recently seen an uptick in fraudulent job offers emailed directly from scammers to students posing as legitimate employers. ***
