UMBC Works - Upload Transcript and Writing Samples

How do we get our transcript and what is a writing sample?

This evening I tried to get my transcript from peoplesoft and didn't have much luck with that. Anyone have any idea how to do this?

Also, if an employer is asking for a writing sample. What exactly is that? Are there guidelines somewhere?
