Update on NASA policy for Conferences in China

Good Afternoon,

We have learned--and confirmed through official NASA officials-- that moving forward, it will be necessary and required for UMBC to ask explicit and direct permission from NASA before any project personnel are allowed to register for ANY conference--VIRTUAL or IN-PERSON-- that may be held in China. Thus, guidance on "how to proceed" must be sought for each individual instance (case-by-case).

Permission will require the concurrence of BOTH the Technical Officer (TO) and the Administrative
Grant Officer (AGO). The official award documents will contain the contact names and information for the correct Points of Contact (POCs) at NASA.
