The Office of Sponsored Programs is  pleased to report that Unfunded Agreements (Data Use Agreements, Teaming Agreements, and Cooperative Research and Development Agreements) are now being routed through Kuali Research.  If your unit has one of these types of Agreements, they are now to be routed through Kuali.  Please go to the following link for the Training Guide and instructions on Unfunded Agreements as well as  a separate and distinct Training Guide for Data Use Agreements:

This is a reminder that Effort Reports for Spring 2020 are available and ready for certification. The Spring 2020 period includes Payroll 2020015 through Payroll 2020026 (from January 05, 2020 through June 20, 2020). Certifications are due September 30, 2020.

Please remember that Effort Reports are both a Compliance Tool and a Grants Management Tool. After reviewing payroll charges, work with your business managers if any changes are needed. Payroll cost transfers (retros) must be processed prior to certification of Effort Reports.

07/25/20-Update

While upgrading the COI module, emails requesting PI’s complete a disclosure were sent out to a set of users.  Some received them on Monday evening around 6PM and others received them Friday evening between 8:45-8:55PM.  Please disregard them. 

If you have completed your disclosure thus far in response to the notification, you have done no harm.

We greatly apologize for this communication error.  We have notified Kuali who is taking steps to identify and correct the issue as quickly as possible.

Update- We have fixed the duplicate projects appearing in COI modules issue, so you are able to disclose. However, some users are still receiving duplicate notifications. My apologies for this inconvenience, we are continuing to work on resolving the notifications issue with Kuali.

New Process: “To facilitate award management and communications with applicant organizations via Authorized Organization Representatives (AORs), NIH has modified the system of records by adding a new routine use to clarify that information may be shared with applicant organizations."

"Effective June 24, 2020, the overall impact score and the NIH Summary Statement will be made available in the eRA Commons to the Authorized Organization Representatives (AORs) of the applicant organization with the Signing Official (SO) user role in the eRA Commons.”
