Tonight, 7pm at CADVC: Museum of the Old Colony Artist Talk

<Tagline>Pablo Delano: Uncovering the Museum of the Old Colony</Tagline>

Tonight at @cadvc_umbc
An artist talk by Pablo Delano: Uncovering The Museum of the Old Colony!

Delano, shown here regaling attendees at the show opening, will trace the development and growth of The Museum of the Old Colony, an art installation that uses appropriated imagery, film clips, and objects to ironically bear witness to the colonial oppression imposed by the U.S. institutional and cultural fabric on virtually all aspects of Puerto Rican life since the 1898 occupation. With sardonic humor, The Museum of the Old Colony references traditional anthropological museums and their use of ethnographic imagery and didactic texts.

Don't miss this one-of-a-kind talk tonight at 7pm at CADVC!
