Q&A session with a faculty and student panel discussing Del. Chang's life story as a first-generation Korean-American and public servant, and how UMBC prepared him for his career. Del. Chang will also discuss the role state governments can play in preserving American democracy.

States of Becoming is a traveling exhibition curated by Fitsum Shebeshe and produced by Independent Curators International (ICI), New York. Independent Curators International (ICI) supports the work of curators to help create stronger art communities through experimentation, collaboration, and international engagement. Curators are arts community leaders and organizers who champion artistic practice, build essential infrastructures and institutions, and generate public engagement with art. ICI's collaborative programs connect curators across generations and across social political and cultural borders. They form an international framework for sharing knowledge and resources and for promoting cultural exchange, access to art, and public awareness of the curator's role. The UMBC Review: Journal of Undergraduate Research is currently soliciting submissions for its 25th edition to be published in April 2024. We invite you to submit your research to our journal. The Review offers a rewarding opportunity to get your undergraduate research published!
The deadline to submit is Friday, September 15th. The submission application can be found at: https://ur.umbc.edu/umbc-review/. Click "Submit Paper Here!" We encourage students of all majors and disciplines to send in their research! Your papers do not have to be ready for publication or perfect right now, we just want to see the best work and research you have completed! Papers may include original research and/or artistic statements that explore the research and process you have completed, and discoveries you have made.
