DB Networks Introduces First Adaptive Database Firewall into General Availability
ADF-4200 Adaptive Database Firewall uses Complex Behavioral Analysis to Easily Identify Advanced SQL Injection and Database DoS Attacks in Real-Time
San Diego, California - February 21, 2013 - DB Networks, an innovator of database security equipment, today announced the general availability of the ADF-4200, a new generation of data center security appliance, purpose built to protect against advanced database attacks. The ADF-4200 is based on DB Networks Adaptive Database Firewall platform and has been in development for four years. The ADF-4200 provides financial institutions, government agencies, and other data intense enterprises an effective countermeasure against advanced SQL Injection and database Denial of Service (DoS) attacks.
The ADF-4200 Adaptive Database Firewall is a 2013 SC Magazine Readers Choice Award Finalist for Best Database Security Solution. In addition, Info Security Products Guide selected the ADF-4200 as a finalist for their 2013 Global Excellence award in three categories – Database Security, Firewalls, and New Product Launch.
The ADF-4200 initially supports both Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server. It offers highly accurate SQL behavioral analysis-based technology to identify, in real time, any unauthorized SQL traffic on the network. Once installed, the ADF-4200 rapidly learns the specific environment in which it's operating to build its behavioral model. Each SQL statement is then subjected to a thorough lexical analysis and SQL semantic comparison analysis. Any rogue SQL statements are immediately identified and an alarm procedure is invoked.
The ADF-4200 is easy to set up and can be deployed with no changes to existing applications or databases. Flexible deployment models include passive monitoring and in-line proxy.
“We're opening up a new era in database security with the ADF-4200 and I'm very excited with the response we've received from customers,” said Brett Helm, CEO of DB Networks. “We developed the ADF-4200 to address the advanced threats to database security that have vexed IT for many years”.
The ADF-4200 is priced at $100,000 USD and available immediately from DB Networks and from our federal government partner ACES, via GSA.
For a demonstration of DB Networks ADF-4200 Adaptive Database Firewall and the opportunity to meet with members of our team, we invite you to visit us at RSA, Moscone Center, San Francisco, Feb 25 - Mar 1, booth # 3220.
About DB Networks
DB Networks is innovating behavioral analysis based database security equipment for organizations who need to protect their data from advanced attacks. DB Networks ADF-4200 Adaptive Database Firewall is an effective countermeasure against SQL Injection and database Denial of Service attacks. Unlike traditional database security solutions, which require extensive user customization, as well as time-consuming white list/black list maintenance, DB Networks Adaptive Database Firewall automatically learns each applications proper SQL transaction behavior. Any SQL transaction which subsequently deviates from the model immediately raises an alarm as an attack. DB Networks is a privately held company headquartered in San Diego, California.
